This volume has on its frontispiece a photograph of Richard Wagner taken by J. Albert in Munich, about 1881. Mignon Opera in Three Acts and Five Tableaux. Libretto by Michael Carre and Jules Barbier. Music by Ambroise Thomas. The English Version by Dr. Th. Baker with an Essay on the Story of the Opera by H. E. Krehbiel. Copyright 1901. 354 pp. This volume has a soiling spot on the block's top that goes about 1 cm deep on the pages' edges (photos 3 and 11). There's also a tiny adhesive of G. Schirmer Jr. on the front pastedown bottom. Both books are in good condition showing moderate shelf wear with rubbing and scuffing on the corners and edges. May have occasional notes written in pencil. Hinges are fine. Bindings are tight and square (please, see photos for these descriptions or contact us for more information).
