G. Loomis Inshore NRX 803s XMR 6'8" MH XF Spinning Rod USED

Description: G. Loomis NRX803s XMR (Fresh or Salt Water): 6’8” MH XFast Lure:3/8-1oz Excellent Condition. The only item to note on this rod is that Loomis was a little sloppy with the build and the tip top has a small amount of excess glue (See last Pic). Doesn’t impact performance, but still not what you’d expect on a $715 rod. The cork, reel seat, blank and guides are all in excellent condition. Used a couple times for salt water trips, thoroughly cleaned after each use and more recently it had been used in freshwater. This is from the Loomis Inshore collection so it is safe to use in salt or fresh water. Despite the lure rating the blank is very similar to the 803s JWR I own, it has a little more power in my hands, but not as much as the lure rating would indicate. The lure rating seems too high on both the upper and lower end. For me it handles 1/8 oz to 3/4 oz pretty well. The reel seat is different (better IMO) than the NRX 803s JWR and the tip top guide is larger. Loomis describes as: “It's designed to skip baits back under docks or in small openings in the mangroves for snook that refuse to come out and chase, which is 90% of the time. The extra-fast tip is every bit as important as the magnum-power butt.” Excellent MH spinning rod that can cover a number of techniques. Good power for a spinning rod and it fills a niche for those situations where you want to fish finesse, but also need some power. Great for skipping light lures in any salt or freshwater situation. The Inshore Rods are approximately $100 more than the conventional NRX + rods thus the higher price. Very good sensitivity. Sorry I can only mail within the Continental US.
