Description: This beautiful and reliable Furuni GPS came with my Amazon 44 sailboat, and ended up parked on the shelf after I geeked out the nav station with fancy NMEA2000 stuff. Years have passed, and I'm now letting all the nautical goodies go. Includes cable with power and NMEA 0183 connections as well as the TNC connector for coax (looks about like RG58) -- though it was cut about a foot from the connector when I removed it from the boat. I just did a temporary twisty splice (not even soldered) and put it on my 12 volt lab power supply. Works perfectly, with current draw of 170mA (2.3 watts). We are typically getting four to five birds in my location between a couple of trailers, along with differential correction data. I didn't do a permanent coaxial cable splice because in most installations the new user will probably want to pull that anyway, and not having to have a TNC sized hole makes it easier. I didn't measure the antenna cable precisely, but it is about 25 ft. A couple of the pictures above show the dgps status screen as well as the current group of birds. I'm only showing an old position screen just so I don't reveal my precise location on the planet in this listing! Been running for the last couple of hours, with 3D position. Makes me want to go cruising again. I am including the DGPS 1.2 meter fiberglass whip antenna that screws into the GPS-018 with a standard 3/8-24 thread. This will be shipped in a mailing tube separately. Price includes shipping on both packages (one with the GPS, power cable, and antenna with coax cable plus short piece with TNC connector), and the other the differential corrections whip.
