The Enchantress tries to manipulate the squad by granting their desires, but El Diablo sees through her illusions, sacrificing himself to destroy Incubus. Rick Flag crushes the Enchantress's heart, killing her and freeing June, with whom he was romantically involved. Director David Ayer originally had the Enchantress as a supporting villain controlled by Steppenwolf, but this was changed in pre-production. Incubus became the secondary villain, and Ayer's unreleased director's cut includes more of June and Flag's relationship, as well as Enchantress turning Katana against the squad.
