Description: Fulper Candle Holder in rich mottled brown glaze with early rectangular label. 9" tall. Perfect condition, no chips, cracks or glaze slips. This famed New Jersey pottery was incorporated in 1899 though in production for years before. With the first line introduced in 1909, Martin Stangl took over direction of production and introduced most of the Fulper lines over the next ten years.He became owner in 1929, after which quality and quantity of production suffered along until 1935 when a shift to dinnerware was completed. Finally in 1955 the firm became Stangl Pottery.
