Fully Assembled Wooden Buttercup Dollhouse 1:12 All Windows Assembled & Painted

Description: This well crafted wooden dollhouse,by Greenleaf, is the Buttercup. The 1:12 scale cottage-style dollhouse has two stories and features fully assembled and painted windows. I don’t remember how long I had this kit in the cabinet but I do know it came with me when I moved here 9 years ago and I do know that we assembled it in 2019. It was going to be a Train Store for the dollhouse people but life plans changed. You have the chance to get right into decorating it with your own personal taste. Decide if you want to electrify the cottage or use battery operated lighting. There are several ways for you to do the roof. You might want to put siding on the outside,or make it into a log cabin or you might like to simply paint the outside with any color of your choosing. Inside you can choose carpeting or wood flooring or tiles! The options are endless! There are so many wallpapers available or simply paint the interior. At a little under 2 lbs this dollhouse makes it easy to hold upside down to paint the ceiling. It is so much easier to do any decorating before installing the windows. I’ve been a miniaturist for almost 50 years and I’ve learned a trick or two plus the options available today really are endless! I painted the windows and door white so that leaves the door wide open for you (a little play on words). You may want to sand down any rough spots before painting. I also glued the glass (acrylic) windows in place; the decoration on the window is a nice touch done with thin black strokes. On the back of the front door assembly you will see that it is not painted. That’s where you will glue it onto the front of the house. The same goes for the Bay Window; it gets glued onto the outside. The unfurnished dollhouse has a wide choice for a theme and is perfect for open space rooms. At the same time, there’s that great window seat at the Bay Window with storage space below. The entry also has a nice little touch as its not just one wall. This house measures 14.25 inches in length, 11.25 inches in width, and 16.50 inches in height and weighs 2 lbs. This might be on someone’s list with the Holidays ahead! Or perhaps a Birthday!
