Description: #287 visually graded CD surface Near-MINT; Excellent Inserts; Nürnberg's hotly tipped Melodic Rock band FRONTLINE, founded in 1989, received an enormous amount of positive press coverage upon the release of their 'State Of The Rock' debut in 1994. The band at this stage numbered lead vocalist Stephan Kämmerer, guitarist Robby Böbel, bass player Thomas Reiss and drummer Stephan Bayerlein. Pre FRONTLINE guitarist Robby Böbel had featured on TALON's 1986 record 'Vicious Games'. After the mysterious release of an acoustical follow up in 1995 entitled 'Two Faced Acoustics' FRONTLINE returned to action in 1997 with the Japanese issued 'Heroes'. On this album the band could be found with the revised line-up of vocalist Stephan Kämmerer, guitarist / keyboard player Robby Böbel, BONFIRE guitarist Chris Lausmann, former WASTE and BAKER, CRAMP & ANDERSON bass player Thomas Bauer with drummer Rami Ali. However, since the record emerged Chris Lausmann hooked up with the revitalised BONFIRE, with whom he has recorded the comeback 'Rebel Soul' album. During 2001 Böbel and Bauer resurfaced with a fresh act entitled EVIDENCE ONE in alliance with DOMAIN vocalist Carsten Schulz and SHAKRA drummer Peter Tanner. FRONTLINE did make a return in 2000 with the 'Right Attitude' album, maintaining the same cast of characters although Lausmann was still also a member of BONFIRE at this juncture. However, he guitarist resigned from BONFIRE in 2002 in order to prioritise FRONTLINE.The February 2003 compilation 'Almost Unreleased' compiled live and archive material alongside new songs 'My Innocence', 'No One Like You' and 'I'll Be There For You'. During 2005 Rami Ali would also feature in POWERWORLD, a new act established by ex-FREEDOM CALL bassist Ilker Ersin.In 2009 the FRONTLINE trio of guitarist Robby Böbel, bass player Thomas Bauer with drummer Rami Ali joined forces with the SHY and TNT credited singer TONY MILLS to forge a fresh band unit dubbed STATE OF ROCK.
