Description: French Legras Hand Enameled Punchinello Amber Glass Spill Vase C. 1900 Nice antique French Legras optic molded amber glass spill vase. Decorated with a hand enameled Punchinello. Unmarked. Circa 1900. While this style of glass was previously attributed to Theodore Rossler in the book Collectible Bohemian Glass 1880-1940 by Robert Truitt & Deborah Truitt, it is now known that this attribution was incorrect and these were produced by Legras. Many so-called "Rossler" enameled pieces can be found pictured in the book François-Théodore Legras. Verrerie artistique et populaire française – Marie-Françoise et Jean-François Michel, Dominique et Jean Vitrat – Deux-Ponts Plurimedia Productions. Good condition. Measures approximately 2 3/4 inches wide x 6 inches tall. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the piece.
