Description: A very fine non-excavated example of a French 18th century wood back button from the District of Limoges. The motto " LA LOI ET LA ROI " can be seen in the center of the button. A fine early button likely dating to the last quarter of the 1700s. Button retains most of its original finish as indicated by photographs. Button measures 28.10mm. See photos for condition details.
