He has presented papers at the Annual Meeting of the American Historical Association, the German Historical Institute, and the Ars Quoatuor Coronati conference, among others, and has published chapters in several books on freemasonry. As a professor, he has taught at institutions including Northeastern, Clark, and Endicott College as well as in Japan.
