Each artist was given a replica of the actual Darth Vader helmet used in the Star Wars films. The helmets served as a canvas for each artist to paint, design, mash up, and customize. A high of $17,500 was achieved by Mr. Cartoon, airbrush, "House of Color", candy colbalt blue paint. Other artists to participate: Axis, Devilrobots, Dan Goodsell, Frank Kozik, Mori Katsura- RealxHead, Chino, PlaysKewl, Dehara, Bob Dob, Mark Ecko, Mars-1, Ragnar, Urbanmedium, Girls Drawing Girls, Crash and many more. There is a two page spread on each helmet and an artist bio for each artist in the back of the catalog. Here is an example of two bios out of the 100 artist: Crash (John Matos) was born in Bronx, N.Y. in 1961. By age of 13 he was on the streets spray painting New York City trains. Instead of just tagging, Crash used full image art, which evolved with his fine art career. His murals on subway cars and dilapidated buildings brought him to the forefront and is now regarded as a pioneer of the graffiti art movement. Axis was born in 1973 in London. Came of age in Los Angeles as a graffiti artist on his own and later with L.A's legendary CBS crew. His skate punk origins continued to shape his aesthetic and politicized black humor as his art moved from the streets onto the pages of publications. Axis works have appeared in numerous galleries.
