Description: From the Franklin Mint and internationally known artist Lionel Forrest, this sculpted figurine is part of the People of Colonial America collectible series from the 1970s. Named The Silversmith, it features a man dressed in traditional colonial clothing standing and crafting a tankard from silver. Cast from the artist made mold, the sculpture is crafted in fine pewter, the traditional metal of colonial America. Measuring approximately 4” tall with a 1 1/4” diameter base, this historically accurate figurine exhibits master craftsmanship, exquisite detail, a very realistic form and has a great aged patina. It is marked on the bottom with the name, fine pewter, 1974 and The Franklin Mint. It also has (4) small green felt pads on the bottom to keep it stationary and from scratching the surface where it is displayed. The figurine has been well cared for and is in excellent preowned condition with no broken, bent or missing parts. Please note that some parts are softer as made so great care must be taken when handling. Therefore, I will make sure these areas are properly cushioned and protected when shipping. A wonderful way to celebrate American history, this figurine could also be used in the classroom as a visual aid for history/art teachers or for students being home schooled!
