Hearing the differences in the five songs which are found on both releases offers a telling glimpse into the growth of this crack sextet. Their familiarity with the material allowed them to internalize the complex blueprints and really flourish as ensemble players. As they shift effortlessly from dense thirty-second note call and response games to orchestral landscapes, it's possible to forget that there are only six musicians running the train.
