Description: The Eclipse Family was first created in 1954, the most popular and well-known pattern is Starburst. The Eclipse Family has an unusual shape to the dishes I liken it to parentheses (). Even the platters have this shape to a certain extent. Duet was introduced by Gladding McBean & Co in 1956 as part of the Eclipse Family of dishes. It was the last of the patterns to be introduced on this shape. The pattern was discontinued in 1965. The backstamp on them indicates that they were made sometime between 1956 and July 1958. It is the Gladding McBean& Co "Oven Safe". Dimensions: Medium Platter - 13 1/4" x 9 1/4" With all my pieces when I bring them home, I hand wash them. I do this because I donβt believe you can truly say there is βno crazingβ without getting them wet. Crazing can hide. So, when I say there are no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs, I have done my due diligence to discover any defects. Seller's Note This pattern of Franciscan Ware was my motherβs wedding dishes. She started her collection in 1958 and she and I are still working on getting all the pieces she wants. These pieces come from lots we get that have some of what we wanted/needed and then some. We are selling the things that are duplicates.
