Description: The plant I ship is 1-2ft tall. Plant shown on last photos is the exact plant you will receive. Beautiful and unique species with large lush foliage and cascading bloom spikes. Each new growth produces an inflorescence of several small creamy yellow flowers, with mature plants typically putting out several at a time. A real treasure when in bloom. The flowers of this orchid have a very unique aroma that fills the room, and can be described as a slightly sweet fragrance with a hint of All spice others describe it as having undertones of freshly cut hay. The flowers last from 2 to 4 weeks and are very prolific.Although this plant is high elevation and cool tolerant, we have had no issues growing them in warm conditions. Therefore, these seem to be overall hardy plants when it comes to temperatures. As a general rule, the warmer the conditions the more water you will apply. Typically once per week with fertilizer applied once to twice a month when growing in sphagnum moss. They can also grow in small bark mix as well. Orchid Care: Generally shade-loving—grow in indirect light (filtered or diffused), no direct sun. Plants thrive in an environment with high humidity and good air circulation. They should be kept moist, but not soggy. Do not allow them to dry out completely. Grows best when potbound. Sphagnum moss and a tight basket will do the trick. Or, for potting, try a mix of sphagnum and tree fern in a holy clay pot. Fertilizer that I include as an option is an excellent choice for professional growers or nurseries if you grow plant in a pot. I personally use it for all my plants. It has polymer coating to allow slow release during 8-9 months evenly. You don't have to worry about repotting the plant for about 1 year or worry about burning plant with your regular over the counter fertilizer. You need about 3-4oz per 3 gal pot or 4-5oz per 5 gal pot.
