This is the unabridged version of what appears in Divinity Course and General Collectanea, (originally published by Richard Oakes in South Africa). These are Sermons, articles, Lessons and Bible insights from the pen of Mary Baker Eddy that had not appeared previously in print. 208 pp. All of the items published by the Carpenters have been available through Healing Unlimited for over a decade on our website CSLibrary.com in xerox form (as well as many other items, such as Augusta Stetson's (one of Mrs. Eddy's most cherished students) many fine works, all the books compiled by Richard Oakes and the Christian Science Foundation of Cambridge, England, and others). All these volumes published by Healing Unlimited regarding the Carpenter Collection are exact photographic reproductions of the original items. Gilbert C. Carpenter, Sr. was an Associate Secretary of Mary Baker Eddy's from March, 1905 through March, 1906; as such, he has shared many examples of of just how Mrs. Eddy dealt with certain situations herself. From this standpoint it is highly instructional and gives the reader an insight into the metaphysical reasoning used by Mary Baker Eddy in various situations. Few there are that have the spiritual integrity that the Carpenters exhibited in their obedience to the spiritual principles imparted through Mrs. Eddy's teachings, and shared through the many examples they have included here and in their other published volumes. For instance, 500 Watching Points (available elsewhere as an independent listing of this seller on eBay) has been a favorite of metaphysicians and practitioners for decades, containing keen metaphysical insights into many of the instances surrounding situations and actions one may run across in their daily experience, and patterned after the experience of the author and his father. The proprietor of Healing Unlimited (the agent of this auction) was extremely fortunate to be good friend's with the head archivist of the Carpenter Foundation for over a decade. During his association with Dr. John Birss he acquired much information of an original nature that revealed a multitude of insights into the daily experience that those in contact with Mary Baker Eddy were afforded. All the Carpenter Collection softcover books have grey and gold printing on the covers and the spine. This edition was typeset and printed in 2010. They are new.
