FOXHUNTER AT COPLEY HILLThe Al 4-6-2 locomotives were built under the direction of Mr A. H. Peppercorn at Doncaster during 1948 and 1949. They were very similar in appearance to the A2 Pacifics but had 6ft 8in driving wheels. A total of forty-nine were built, the last being withdrawn in 1966 and all the class were scrapped.
