Description: A FOUNDER'S GRADE FROG MECHANISM for an early Stanley No. 605 1/2 Bedrock plane, early style. Stanley used a 2 1/4" cutting iron on the early 605 1/2, but later switched to a 2 3/8" iron as used on the 606 and 607. This mechanism is held in place by screws that fit into tapped holes in the raised base.
