Description: For sale we have a upper and lower fossil horse tooth from the species Mesohippus bairdi. These specimens were personally collected from my ranch in Nebraska. Mesohippus was very different from modern horses. Not only were they much smaller in size but Mesohippus had three toes instead of one hoof. They lived from the Eocene through the Oligocene. These specimens were collected from the Chadron and Brule formations of the white river group, making them Eocene to Oligocene in age. These teeth would be a perfect addition to a fossil collection.
