These forged steel upper shock mounts are reproductions of those used on 1948-1952 Ford F1 trucks, but are also adaptable to other beam-axle hot rods. The F1 shock mounts were popular on early-style hot rods where an upgrade to telescoping shocks over lever shocks was desired. Forged from the finest steel, these zinc-plated mounts are available in 5-1/2" or 6-1/2" lengths (measured from the centerline of the stud to the center of the top bolt hole) and accept shocks with 5/8" I.D. bushings. I cut and relocated the mounting points so the 7/16 bolts that hold the shock mount double up to secure the front cross member. I think they look pretty good and they will definitely do the job.
