This was something we acquired back in 1982 (42 years ago), but comes from the 1981 year. This FM Apparel Item was gently used back then, but is still in Great/Excellent Condition and obviously comes from very long ago. This Original Ford Motorsport Bag has been a part of our Private collection of Original Ford Motorsport and Race Apparel items for a very long time now! It is one of the First Ford Motorsport apparel items we got our hands in the early 1980's when we started our collection. This Original Heavy Duty Ford Motorsport Apparel item came directly from a FORD MOTORSPORT ZAKSPEED/ROUSH Mustang IMSA GT Race Team Pit Crew Member and was used in the 1981 Race Season. It was something he did use during that years race season back in 1981, so the bag does have a couple small marks here and there and one scuff on the lower right front piping area of the bag, but lets just face it here, it adds to the character of this unique Original FM bag. It was something that was issued to some of the FORD MOTORSPORT ZAKSPEED/ROUSH Mustang IMSA GT Pit Crew Members from that Race Team way back in 1981, which was what he told us when he decided to part with it back in 1982. In all the years of us collecting Original FORD MOTORSPORT apparel items, we have only ever come across another one like it and it sold for a hefty price and went into a private collection to be displayed in an automotive museum. It was not something we have ever seen offered to the general public for sale and were told by that Pit Crew member from long ago the same. Apparel issued to some FORD MOTORSPORT Race Teams members from long ago.This Awesome Original FORD MOTORSPORT Bag has been in Our Private SaleenDream Collection for many years. Yes, we acquired this bag back in 1982, stored it for 8 years and then used it for a short time back in 1990/91 when we had an 1986 Saleen Mustang and placed it's Wolf Brand car cover inside it when the cover was not in use at only some race events from those two years, then we placed it into our collection never to be used again. Yes, this Large Heavy Duty type FORD MOTORSPORT Bag will fit a Car cover in it when you fold the cover up. This Original & Now Vintage FORD MOTORSPORT Bag is made up of a very durable luggage type material. I believe in the 1980's they made stuff like this out of Polypropylene or Polycarbonate built to last the years and it has! This Bags Standing dimensions without the handles measured is 20" x 15.5" x 7.5" approximately but the inside holding area can stretch out due to the durable flexible Grey colored material on the sides and lining on the inside. This FM Bag features an Oval embroidered on FORD MOTORSPORT label on the upper right side of the front of the bag, a zip closed pocket underneath, a front middle outer pouch pocket with lid flap that velcro's closed, upper left area flap for revealing cleat name tag info underneath that velcro's flush against the front surface of this bag, unique For Motorsport different color Blues running lateral across the middle top of the bag, two reinforced handles for carrying this bag by hand, reinforced bottoms and sides for protection, is lined with a durable material that appears to be water resistant, the bottom area of the bag has a durable rectangle shape piece to help keep this bags standing form and 6 durable grommet like feet on the bottom and has a zip closed from the top design!This is a Genuine Ford Motorsport Product, Original and Extremely Rare, collected from long ago.
