Description: Please take the time to read through my entire item description and view all the photographs. I consistently prepare accurate and detailed descriptions and provide clear close up photographs for all my listings. The aforementioned notwithstanding, note the photos are still the biggest and most important part of this or any description. As the old saying goes, "a picture is worth a thousand words". If you would like additional photos or have specific questions just message me and I will respond ASAP. For your consideration is this vintage 1991 new old stock (NOS) ERTL stock #9162 1/25 scale diecast 1918 Ford Model T Runabout Route 66 Oklahoma COIN BANK in the ORIGINAL BOX with lock and key. This model was made in the U.S.A. by the ERTL COMPANY, INC. in Dyersville, Iowa. The model car coin bank has been packed away for decades until it was recently rediscovered while going through some old storage boxes. Note; although this model car/bank has actually NEVER BEEN PLAYED WITH and has been stored away inside the original box for nearly 35 years, I elected to be conservative and decided to list the model as being “used” only because of its age and the fact the car/bank may have been handled a few times over the years. The car is made out of diecast metal, plastic and rubber weighing approximately 14.0 ounces secured inside the box. The car has overall measurements of approximately 5.50” in length, 2.50” in width and 3-3/8” in height. Refer to description photos #21, #22, #23 and #24 to confirm the weight and size dimensions I have described. The door to the coin safe and the key to the door’s lock are located on the underside of the vehicle’s chassis between the rear wheels. Refer to description photos #7, #8 and #9 for more details about the location of the safe door and aforementioned key. The car/bank remains in excellent condition showing no signs of damage as it has been safely secured inside the original plastic bag (as depicted in description photos #18, #19 and #20) and the original factory box (see photos #1, #14, #15, #16, #17, #18 and #19) since its purchase back in the day. The back of the car features what appears to be a strapped down crate that has a 1-3/16” long coin slot on the top to deposit the coinage you want to save. Refer to description photos #4, #5, #6 and #12 for more details about the coin slot and more details about what I have described. The black fenders and running boards on the car remain glossy black with no blemishes. The glossy white body also remains in excellent condition as can be confirmed in the description photos. Refer to description photos #1, #2, #3, #4 and #5 for more details about what I have described. The shiny gold colored plastic spoke wheels, front grille and headlamps, windshield frame, side lamps, steering wheel and steering column and the car’s dashboard all remain in excellent condition. The four rubber tires are white and are amazingly detailed showing deep crisp treads on all four tires. Refer to description photos #10, #11, #12 and #13 for more details about what I have described. The (4) four white rubber tires remain in excellent condition and show no signs of deterioration. The gold colored spokes on the wheels are also in excellent condition and look fantastic. Together they look extremely realistic. Refer to description photos #6, #8, #9 and #10 for more details about the wheels and tires I described. The original Ertl factory box remains in very good condition with very minor scattered age spots and surface blemishes from honest age and storage over the years. Refer to description photos #1, #14, #15, #16, #17, #18 and #19 for more details about the box I have described. Overall, this diecast model car coin bank makes for a great visual display and would be a welcomed addition to anyone’s toy car or bank collection. This diecast model car/bank will make a great addition to your classic collection and would look fantastic displayed upon your shelf. Please look at the description photographs closely as they accurately depict and confirm the condition of the diecast model car/bank I describe and show exactly what you will receive if you purchase this piece. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the car, please email me and I will respond ASAP. The car will ship from Texas zip code 77362 via USPS Ground Advantage safely secured inside a 9.0" x 7.0" x 5.0" cardboard box weighing approximately 2.0 pounds after packaging.
