Description: FORCED ENTRY (USA) Uncertain Future / The Shore CD NEW Forced Entry was formed by Tony Benjamins and Brad Hull in 1983, under the name Condition Critical. They initially both performed guitar and vocals, and went through 2 drummers and about 5 bassists (including Tony's brother Curt Benjamins on drums and Larry Harwood on bass, who were in Bleeder together a short time later) before the decision was made that Tony would switch to bass. Colin Mattson was recruited as a drummer, stabilizing the lineup, and in 1986 a new name, Forced Entry, was decided on. After 9 years of activity under this name, they disbanded in 1995, following a 4-year period with no releases. That same year saw the release of a four-song EP The Shore, which, contrary to popular belief, was not recorded at the same time as the As Above, So Below sessions. Forced Entry reunited in 2002 for an appearance at the Abrasive Rock Fest in Olympia. Plans were made to play at least one more show in 2003; they were scheduled to perform at that year's edition of Seattle Metal Fest, but the band reportedly withdrew from the bill at the last minute and had since been inactive again. Metal Storm reported in November 2020 that reunion shows under the Forced Entry name were in the works for 2021. Two-thirds of the band (Tony Benjamins and Colin Mattson) confirmed in a February 2021 interview on the Misery Point Radio show that Forced Entry was indeed active again and searching for a potential replacement for unavailable guitarist Brad Hull. They were also considering writing new music under this new lineup. Hull is currently incarcerated for drug possession and distribution charges, and as of November 2023, there have been no updates on the band's reunion. This EP was originally recorded in 1990-1991 during sessions of the second Forced Entry album "As Above, So Below". "UNCERTAIN FUTURE" was recorded January 1989 at London Bridge Studios, Seattle, WA.
