Description: Fogburn and other Ferry Tales. The sequel to Ferry Tales (which is also listed on Ebay) is a series of short stories or essays about life on and around Freeport, Long Island, Nova Scotia. Freeport and Briar Island are reached by ferry which runs hourly (until 11pm) - weather permitting. Freeport and Briar Island are small villages and the main occupation is fishing or processing fish. And fogburn is a real thing! Some of the stories are: The Cold Water Test, What's in a Name, The Christmas Concert, The Plane Ride, The Medicine Chest. Some of the black and white photos are: The kitchen stove, A reed organ, Raising the flag. I've listed this book and Ferry Tales as we spent many years in our Freeport summer home and made life long friends. But the time has come to downsize and share these books with others maybe still looking for their special place. The author lives in Freeport during the summer and Ontario the rest of the year.
