FLASK: Phalaenopsis parishii LILY OF THE VALLEY FRAGRANCE, MINI orchid species

Description: Up for Bid: A flask of Phalaenopsis parishii seedlings. This is an outcross of two very nice clones. The seedlings are growing in a 16 oz plastic flask which is shown in the images with the tape measure. The images show here are not of the parents, but show the species well. [4978] Contents: Approximately 15 seedlings that are ready to come out of flask. The Species: This is found from the eastern Himalaya Mountains through to Thailand and Vietnam at elevations below 1650. The flowers, approximately 3/4” tall, will bloom with up to 5 flowers per inflorescence. Culture: I find this species does better for me in warm conditions (65F minimum nights) than it does in intermediate conditions (56F minimum nights). I water with dilute fertilizer almost daily during the growing season.The rainfall is heavy in the habitat from May through September. I decrease watering so that I am misting several times during the week and I water lightly about once per week when the weather is sunny. About this flask: I take great pride in producing flasks with strong seedlings that are ready to come out of flask and have a very good survival rate. The survival of these seedlings is dependent on the conditions where they will be growing and the skill of the grower. I will shake off most of the medium, treat them with beneficial microbes and fungicide and put them in a zip bag. If your prefer to have them shipped in flask you must let me know that. Whether they are in flask or bagged, you should be prepared to pot them up shortly after receiving.Shipping & Handling Charge: It is the buyer’s responsibility to check the weather in the delivery area and let me know if special precautions are necessary.Packing and shipping for the first plant or flask is US $13.95; additional plants or flasks in the same shipment are only $1.50 each. I usually ship on Monday/Tuesday or Saturday after receipt of payment. The plants need to be dry to ship safely and that can take several days.
