Description: quilted black walnut guitar set, Backs irregularly shaped, , I have drawn in a pattern I use with a 7.5 inch lower bout, wide at lower bout, 21.2 long, sanded to approximately 0.145 thick Sides, 30(really a bit longer but need trim) long ,5 to 4.3 wide sanded to approximately .0.115 thick. Smaller size and shorter sides means you can't get a dred here, but still many smaller sizes possible. Also note the extra work needed for these plates as there are several spots that need repair in any pattern. Air dried 4 years, very fine quality. I know this does look like claro or oregon walnut, but in reality this tree is eastern black walnut, so you have all the best figure and color with the slight added benefit of eastern's slower growth/denser structure and slightly glassier feel. Last pic shows close-up of a few small spots on sides that require touch of fill. Wonderful, wonderful marbled color. pics are dry.
