Description: This is a charming and very well done Fine Vintage Modern Asian Chinese Taiwan Social Realism Oil Painting on canvas, depicting two Chinese subjects, an elderly doctor and a young boy which is his patient. The doctor sits next to a metal table with various medical instruments. He could be a general practitioner, a dentist or possibly an optometrist. It is difficult to tell from the painting which type of doctor the subject is. This scene is reminiscent of a Norman Rockwell painting, as many famous artworks in his portfolio depicted children visiting a doctor. Signed: "Wanhua" in the lower right corner. I could not find much information on this artist, but perhaps you recognize them or their work? This piece likely dates to the 1980's - 1990's. Approximately 35 x 35 inches (including frame.) Actual artwork is approximately 30 x 30 inches. Good condition, with a few light areas of dimpling to the canvas (please see photos.) Original gilded frame has some light scuffing and edge wear.
