Description: Wonderful antique American coin silver table serving spoon measures 8 1/2" long, and is in the beautiful "Jenny Lind" pattern, popular in the mid 19th century. Made in New York by George W Welsh, the heavy spoon is in as found estate condition, with some wear at the left side of the tip of the spoon bowl, and a shallow indentation in the bowl. Hand engraved in period script "ALB", the spoon is marked on the reverse,"Geo. W Welsh, 244 Greenwich St." A great addition to an antique flat silver collection, the spoon is offered with out reserve.
