Description: For your considering is this nice group of slightly etched pale blue, gemmy aquamarine beryl crystals on muscovite from the Mount Xuebaoding Mining District, Pingwu, Sichuan Province, China. Mount Xuebaoding is world-famous for it's superb specimens of cassiterite, scheelite, and aquamarine beryl, and this is a fine example of well-formed, tabular blue aquamarine crystals showing the flattened morphology typical of the species at this locality. The Mount Xuebaoding Mining District is nearly depleted at this point, and specimens such as this will most certainly become "future classics" of Chinese minerals. This specimen is in good condition as seen and displays well from numerous angles. Specimen Dimensions: 1.7 cm x 4.5 cm x 5.2 cm. 73 grams
