Description: This is an exceptional and Early Fine Antique Old 1930s HAWAII Hawaiian Impressionist Landscape Oil Painting on Artist Board, likely dating to the 1930's - 1940's. This piece depicts a bucolic and highly Impressionistic Hawaiian coastline, with rocky coastal outcroppings in the distance, meticulously painted clouds, and a small tree line in the foreground, surrounded by the ocean on all sides. Vivid hues of various yellows, greens, and purple punctuate this image, creating a Polynesian inspired artwork that would give Paul Gaugin a run for his money. Signed: "Don Robbie (?)" in the lower right corner. Perhaps you recognize the artist, or their work? Approximately 22 1/2 x 28 1/2 inches (including frame. Actual artwork is approximately 18 x 24 inches. Good condition for age, with moderate scuffing, scratches, and speckles of nicotine soiling to the painted surface. Additionally, the original antique gilded wood frame has mild - moderate scuffing, scratches, and edge wear (please see photos carefully.) Acquired from an old an eclectic Hawaiiana collection in Los Angeles County, California. If you like what you see, I encourage you to make an Offer.
