Description: This Antique Wash Stand is a fine example of American classical period furniture. Crafted from beautiful mahogany wood in the early 19th Century, exhibiting fine quality craftsmanship, construction, and detail. Executed in sophisticated Neoclassical form, having a dovetailed scrolled back splat over a bowed basin shelf (with round hole for basin) resting on two S scroll supports. The bottom shelf over one dovetailed drawer with turned pull. Finely turned legs. Northeastern United States, likely Boston area. Measuring 35.5 inches in height, 17.75 inches in width, and 15 inches in depth. Condition: Very good. Wear commensurate with age and use.Presents with some age cracks in wood.A small anomaly on basin shelf appears to be a 1/4 in. wood putty filled divot (please see last photo)Please see closeups re condition issues.
