I was very lucky to be able to receive one when I worked at the Booksmith here in San Francisco. I am a devoted fan of Munro's work and was thrilled to receive this. (I am not sure how many were issued - perhaps as few as 200?) Munro was a Canadian author, best known for her short stories, though she also wrote several novels. She won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2013. She was born in 1931 and died in May of 2024. This book was received new and is in very good condition. I take very good care of my books in my smoke-free environment. Notes on condition: Slipcase: covered in deep purple paper, with author's name in white and red circle in the center with black letters that says "Selected Stories" - very clean, corners not bumped, a slight one-inch scratch on back dust jacket: none (as issued) binding: ivory white cloth spine with cream-colored boards with "AM" embossed in silver - wonderfully clean, no marks or dents interior pages: clean & crisp, no marks or tears sewn binding: all pages secure Please see photos to get a sense of the great condition, wonderfully legible signature and appealing format.
