Description: Description Fender Custom Shop 2019 Collection Time Machine 1959 Stratocaster Heavy Relic (Aged Olympic White) [SN.CZ578030] The Time Machine series from the 2019 collection, which I had reordered, has arrived after five years! This slab rosewood model has a cool heavy relic with intense weather checking! This is a guitar made based on a 1959 Stratocaster with a rosewood fingerboard! The 1956-shaped alder body is carefully selected by wood selection specialists exclusively for the custom shop. The neck material, which is carefully selected like the body, is made of rift-sawn maple, with a fingerboard radius of 9.5R, tall narrow/tall frets, and slab rosewood fingerboard material. The body and neck finish is an all-lacquer finish, just like the vintage model. The heavy relic finish has irregular weather checking and severe paint peeling in places. The back of the neck has been peeled off significantly from the 1st to 13th frets, and the texture of the wood provides a smooth playing feel. In addition, the areas where the paint remains are finished in a tanned amber color with a clear coat. The neck grip is a 63 Strat C shape measured from a vintage 1963 model. Compared to the general 60s Oval C shape, it is thicker on the sides when gripped, but it is basically a type of thin neck grip from the 60s. The hardware is a synchronized tremolo with PAT.PEND. engraved saddles, and the machine heads are vintage type Kluson pegs. The live sound of the custom shop, which goes beyond the line among Fenders, is characterized by the clarity of the bolt-on structure, and the airiness and thickness of the sound when output from the amplifier are truly on another level. Furthermore, the sound obtained by the relic finish is so good that you can fully experience the vibration of the body and neck just by playing one chord. The overwhelming live sound is so comfortable that you can play it forever even without outputting it to an amplifier, and it is a quality that can only be experienced at a custom shop with a satisfying playability. All pickups that reproduce that wonderful sound are hand-wound. Compared to normal machine-wound models, the amp gives the impression of being rich in overtones and an acoustic airiness. This model uses Fat 50s (Alnico 5/Formvar wire), which has a clean sound with a thick sound, and is equipped with 50s pickups on alder/rose wood material, making it a great match for distortion amps. The controls are Vintage Modified Strat #2. The volume is Bleed custom based on a high-pass capacitor that combines a ceramic capacitor and resistor, and the tone uses Fender paper wax capacitors that match each position. The Bleed custom allows you to turn down the volume while maintaining the mid-to-high range, and the specs are useful for sound making as a gain control, such as lead tone at full volume, backing tone at around 70%, and clean/crunch at 50% or less. The tone condenser has an overall tone balance by selecting the appropriate capacitor value for each position of the neck & middle tone and bridge tone, and the sound when the tone is cut is also attractive. Compared to a general high-pass condenser, the tone is not too thin with the mid-range remaining. Contrary to the dignified looks, don't miss this modern customized ready-to-use model!
