The year 1965 was a transitional period when Jacaranda fingerboards were switched to Indian rosewood, and many guitars were not Jacaranda fingerboards, but this one has a unique, smooth texture that is unique to it. The rear pickup has been rewound, the lead wires have been extended, and there are solder marks from re-grounding, but the balance between the front and rear PUs is good, and it has a fast attack and a wide range of dynamics that are typical of vintage Fenders, resulting in an outstanding sound. The neck has no quirks, and the truss rod can be adjusted without any problems. About 40-50% of the frets remain.
