Description: Fel-Pro Crankshaft Repair Sleeve, 16250 - to help fix rear main seal leaks This is the crankshaft repair sleeve that goes on the rear of the crankshaft and helps resolve crankshaft wear from the rubber rear main seal. The rubber seal will eventually wear a small grove in the crankshaft and you will then have an oil leak. Replacing only the rear seal will usually not be a long term fix and will eventually start to leak again. Installing this repair sleeve will give you a new mating surface for your new seal properly work giving you many years of leak free operation. Generally you can install this part while the engine is still in the vehicle. You need to remove the transmission to gain access.
