He played primarily for the Brooklyn Dodgers (known as the "Robins" then)Inside the center oval reads as follows: Louisville Slugger 40-B.H. Hillerich & Bradsby Co. Made in U.S.A. Louisville, KY. (The #4 is scuffed and not as legible on this bat, but it is there)Below the center oval are the words, Trademark Reg. U.S. Pat. Off.
