Although unsigned, we can guarantee the authenticity of this work 100% or your money back. There is an unknown exhibition label affixed to the verso, seen magnified in picture 6. The piece comes with impeccable provenance directly from the estate of Antonio Lopez and Juan Ramos. Not examined out of the frame, the print appears to be in exquisite condition with no damage whatsoever to mention. There are no rips, tears, repairs, foxing, toning, staining, creasing, or in-painting. The gallery frame is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, losses, or repairs. The work is an absolute gem and ready for hanging as-is. The frame measures roughly 28" x 32", with the image itself measuring roughly 17" x 21.5". Please note the pictures may not be as clear as we'd like due to the settings on the camera to reduce the glare. Thank you for checking out our listing. Antonio Lopez was born in Puerto Rico in 1943 and moved to New York City when he was two years old. He became a commercial artist and was fashion illustrator for Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle, Interview and The New York Times, active from the early 1960's through to his death. He worked in pencil, pen and ink, charcoal, watercolor, and Polaroid film, and his flamboyant illustrations were considered art and were shown at exhibitions in galleries all over the world in the 1970's and 1980's. He was also a designer of jewelry and conceptual designs such as window displays for Fiorucci and Studio 54. Moving to Paris in 1969, he and designer Karl Lagerfeld ran an exclusive salon in Paris for models and fashion personalities, and during his seven years there, he taught workshops and introduced many facets of American pop culture to the French. His portraits of models such as Jerry Hall, Jessica Lange and Grace Jones were collected in the 1982 book Antonio's Girls. In the last 10 years of his life, Lopez became interested in education, giving much of his time to lectures and workshops to students of fashion illustration.All of our items have been stored in a temperature controlled environment with no pets or smoking allowed.
