Description: This is a Vintage Photograph (I don't see an artist or photographer stamp) of Famous Arabian Broodmare "Cassandra" #3831 from Al-Marah Arabians! It was originally displayed in the John W. Patten Wing at the Elizabeth, NJ, Public Library. Then it was to be displayed at the Horse Park of New Jersey and finally at a private horse museum. Many of the pictures in this collection have been used in equine books and magazines over the last 80 years. Please see pics for condition and ask any questions you may have. There may be some small imperfections due to age of photograph. John W. Patten (1896-1995): John W. Patten was a WWI veteran, second in charge of shipping 2,000 horses from the U.S.A. to France for use in battle. A jockey, owner & trainer. A consultant for Latin American horse racing tracks, historian for the Standardbred Breeders and Owners Association of New Jersey, author of six equine books and thousands of articles.
