Famitsu is a line of Japanese video game magazines published by Kadokawa Game Linkage that ran from 1998 to 2011. Famitsu Wave DVD was the second to last incarnation of the Famitsu Wave lineage. Famitsu Wave DVD (previously GameWave DVD) covered events, film, and previews. Each magazine includes a DVD disc (NTSC Region 2) that contains video game footage such as trailers and gameplay tips, as well interviews with developers and publishers. The magazines are completely digital, when inserted into a DVD player a menu will appear for which you can select a "channel". The channels can contain anything from previews, developer interviews, skits, game shows, gameplay compilations, behind-the-scenes videos, convention recordings, etc. and covers games across all the major systems at the time. A channel guide is included which details the content of each channel. As this is a Japanese publication, a majority of text and dialogue will be in Japanese.
