Fabulous Rare Vintage Hennessy VSOP Cognac Clock 5 O'Clock Somewhere Clock

Description: It's 5:00 somewhere...as the old saying goes. Sometimes we like to have a cocktail any time of the day, and our vintage Hennessy V.S.O.P. Reserve Cognac clock lets you know it's okay--it's 5 o'clock anytime because the number 5 is at all positions on the clock face. Our Hennessy clock would look fabulous in your home bar, man cave or office featuring the famous cognac bottle produced by the House of Hennessy, complete with authentic label, on a circular brass base. The Hennessy clock face reads Stylis Made in the U.S.A., but is stamped Sessions Clock Co., Forestville, Conn on the back, and attaches to the bottle by a black fluted metal piece. A label on the back tells us the bottle was made in France where the Hennessy family has made brandy since its distillery founding in 1765 by an Irishman, Richard Hennessy who settled in Cognac, France. Our cognac bottle clock is quite rare, especially in working condition as ours is, appealing to both men and women. It instills a sense of good taste with a nod to whimsical fun, and those who appreciate fine brandy will be impressed with your sense of style. Measuring 21" tall with a 6 1/2" base, our Hennessy clock is in good vintage condition with little wear to the bottle and labels. The wiring is old so we have not tested it and cannot guarantee that it lights up. It would be an easy fix to run a new wire if needed (we highly recommend this if you plan to use it). There is tarnish to the brass base, which hints to the age of our clock and adds character to the overall look. We can date our clock to the early 1950's by the stamp on the back of the clock because 1956 was the last year the company was called the Sessions Clock Co. A clock just like ours was given to Bob Hope by Jack Hennessy and was sold at auction for $576 in 2008, and while our clock hasn't got that kind of stellar provenance, it is in good company.
