Description: Extremely RARE 1920's A.C. Gilbert White Erector Toy Truck Up for your consideration is a NICE - Extremely RARE 1920's A.C. Gilbert White Erector Toy Truck. Local Inventory No. 835-1. This survivor from the 1920's is today seldom seen, let alone being made available for sale. This piece was amazingly made available at an estate sale of a long-time antique toy collector in Western WI. This piece is being offered fully assembled and as far as we can tell 'complete'. Per our in-house inspection there are no known missing, broken, or non-original parts. Note - The only defects that we could find was that the original rubber tires have some cracking as a result of aging & a headlight bulb is missing. The toy that is being offered in this lot is an original A.C. Gilbert White Pressed Steel Red & Black Construction Toy Truck. It is a 'Classic' measuring: Length 24 1/4" x Width 8" x Height 8" (wheels attached). Inspection notes include mentioning of minor paint wear on the front fender edging & minor scratches here & there on the body, steering wheel, & steering column. No mention of any dents, or dings being found during the inspection. Paint appeared to be all original, but dusty from recently being removed from storage. All can be expected from a toy dating back to the 1920's; i.e. 100 years old. For more detail regarding item's overall condition see the photos attached. Toy appears to be in all original condition and is being offered without its' original box & / or packaging material. Note - In an effort to minimize shipping cost and to better protect this item during shipping we will be removing the wheels & steering wheel for packing. Simple reassembly of these items will be required using a flat head screwdriver. A listing of the parts removed is provided, as are detailed close-up photos of all parts & their positions prior to disassembling.
