To install this you will need to drill pilot holes in the oak to fasten the two together the aluminum saddle has holes use them as your template to fasten the two together you can also use the construction adhesive supplied to fasten the oak piece to your old sill first then use the screws supplied to fasten them all together. The White oak filler strip with stands all weather conditions can be used alone or in combination with the smooth top threshold. Measures 36” w x 1-3/4” d x 3/8” h The aluminum threshold has smooth top and is brite gold in color. Seals gaps up to 5/8” from the top of the threshold to the bottom of your door. The 1/2” x 3/4” x 36” oak filler installs in front of the old sill and adds support under the thresholds also hides the front ( if you have carpet installed in front of the old sill you may not need this piece).
