Exquisite 1/48th 1:48 quarter scale dolls' house theatre by Celia Mayfield

Description: PETER RABBIT THEATRE FOR 1/12TH SCALE DOLLS’ HOUSE NURSERY OR TOY SHOP Welcome to my auction. My name is Celia Mayfield. I started designing and making my own miniatures in 1986 and spent the next 20 years selling my dolls’ house furniture, dolls and accessories at miniatures shows and through mail order. In 2006 I began making reborn dolls. However, I have, in the last few years, taken up making miniature people again. I also love dolls’ houses in all scales and this tiny theatre is the result. This is a child’s toy theatre to put in a 1/12th scale dolls’ house nursery or toy shop. It is made from an Art of Mini kit. I show the measurements with a ruler to give an idea of its size. This little theatre features Peter Rabbit and friends. It is made from wood and card and the 2 little standee rabbits are card. The theatre is on a wooden filigree base and there are also ‘gold’ metal filigree decorations. All my miniatures are the result of 35 years making and selling dolls' house furniture and dolls at miniatures shows around the UK and through mail order, fuelled by a lifetime's love of dolls and all things miniature. This theatre was made in a smoke free and pet free home. These are collectors' items and are not suitable for children as small parts present a choking hazard.
