Executone PB 350-08 6550 tube amp Big and Heavy

Description: This is an Executone PB 350-08 Tube Amplifier. These are push pull 6550 units that were designed to run 24 hours. This is not some wimpy HiFi unit made to run a few hours at a time. These were made to last. I'm selling this as parts only, no implied warranty. That said, the power transformer does show proper continuity as it should. The fuse is intact which is always a good sign. This unit differs from the PB 350-03 that I have listed in that the rectifier tube socket and rectifier tube has been replaced by a diode string in the power supply. Otherwise, except for some obvious cosmetics, the units appear pretty much the same. The power transformer primaries and secondaries all show proper continuity and static resistance. The transformers are good. The output transformer primary measures 63Ω and 51Ω referenced to B+ center tap. The secondaries show proper continuity. That's all the testing I did. As stated, no warranty but I'd bet that it works though common sense says replace the caps and check everything out in some detail before trying it out. This was an Estate sale find. If I had two of these I'd build a pair of matching units. I think this is the only one of these that I have though and I really need the shelf space so I'm moving this one out. No tubes included. Only what's pictured. The unit does have the full base with schematic. Standard rack mount 19" basing. It's 6" wide and a little over 6" tall at the highest point. Need a project? Here you go.
