Their handlers pose along side them on the ground. The image comes in the original mailing tube sent home from the war. The tube has a US Army Postal Service mailing stamp of May 3, 1943 - and Two 3 cent Stamps Mailed from a Private O.R. Johnson - 340 Bomb Group / 488 Squadron to a Mrs. H. Simme of Buffalo, NY. Image measures approx. 9-1/2" x 7" Displays wellCondition:Excellent condition. Image has been stored rolled in the original mailing tube from 1943. There is some mild edge wear on the image, likely from people taking it out to look at it over the years. The original mailing tube retains the majority of the original label, stamps and writing.
