Description: This listing is for the luxurious solid 14kt gold EVERSHARP SKYLINE COMMAND PERFORMANCE pen and pencil set of '43's vintage. Compared to most gold sets, the Command Performance set has a lot of solid 14kt gold, but hard to determine exactly as disassembly would be required. This set is a beautiful set, beyond its weight in gold however, and both pieces seem free of any dents or flaws. Both pieces are marked EVERSHARP on the clips and both have 14K SOLID GOLD marks... both of which run at least partially beneath the clips. Aside from that, both have standard SKYLINE markings on the clip bands. The pen is 5-3/8" and the pencil is 5-1/4" long. The pen is a lever filler and it readily still takes up lots of ink. The EVERSHARP 14K MADE IN USA nib is in outstanding condition and probably a fine point. The pen still has some residual blue ink and I find it to be an extremely smooth writer. The pencil is a button repeater and using .046" lead it operates perfectly. Removing the button reveals an old eraser but I put several extra lengths of Eversharp square lead in the magazine.
