Description: The Circuit Slices Compare+Switch (CS043) is an electronic switch with comparator control for the Eurorack synthesizer format. Behind the 4 HP front panel is a high-speed, bidirectional, SPDT (Single Pole, Double Throw) switch that can be controlled with a gate input or by the comparison of two input voltages – switches when the INPUT voltage exceeds the REF input voltage. Without a plug in the REF jack the comparator is referenced internally to 1.2V. Like a single pole, double throw switch (SPDT), there are common (COM), normally open (N.O.), and normally closed (N.C.) connections. The switch can operate into the audio rate, so that integrating modulation effects are possible. Even more useful is the built-in comparator, allowing an external control voltage reference to determine the level at which the INPUT will initiate the switch.
