Description: European Woodworking Frame Saw - excellent shape - Tage Frid style Purchased in the 1990s and in storage since 2000, this beautiful frame saw is ideal for the serious woodworker. It is an incredibly versatile tool and will quickly become indespensible. The blades are 27.5" and were sharpened before the saw was stored - ready to be used. It comes with the original five blades - a turning blade, two sizes of cross cutting, and two sizes of ripping. There is some light surface rust on the blades (see photos) that will be easily removed. The saw needs to have new tensioning cord and a tensioning toggle. The use of a cord and toggle is much superior to a metal mechanism - easier on the wooden parts and easily adjusted for tension and also changing blades. The original owner carved his own tensioning toggle in the shape of a man and that been kept by his family. The saw will be disassembled, carefully wrapped, and shipped in a long box.
