It is a long theo-philosophical meditation with more than a hundred actors making up a masked chorus. In theatrical format, Lazarus Laughed appears to be a Greek tragedy. But the underlying message is similar to the mystery plays from the Middle Ages. O'Neill's play, The Great God Brown, can be considered as an introduction to this play. Condition Info: VERY GOOD. Firm binding. Pushed spine tips, lightly rubbed extremities, dust soiling to boards. A few spots of foxing, age-toned pages, old pastedown glue stain on back-title page. Faint stamp on a blank rear flyleaf. The clipped but not price clipped dust jacket is VERY GOOD- sun-darkened spine and folds, edge wear chips, creases and small tears. 1” tear on bottom of front panel.
