Eucalyptus has exceptional durability, making it a great choice for many applications such as tables, outdoor furniture and more. Eucalyptus is known for its tough nature and resistance to wear, it's especially suited for any project needing that extra bit of resilience against the elements. The wood itself presents a beautiful straight grain, smooth to the touch, ready to be finished in a multitude of ways to bring out its best look. Its color range ranges from reddish creams to deeper, warm reddish-browns. These slabs are air-dried over 3-6 years and then kiln heat-treated for sterilization. When the slab is noted as surfaced, a slab has been surfaced on both sides to approximately 80%, presenting a near-ready canvas while preserving enough thickness to address any minor imperfections such as surfacer marks, or slight bows or cups that may occur during storage and or transport. In some pictures, the grain may have a light water or mineral spirit misting to highlight the grain and give an example of what the piece will look like when finished.
